It was a cold winter day when our eyes first met. You were wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. You had eyes that glistened in the sun. The tenderness of your smile brought me back home to a warm place in my heart.

“Hello,” she says with elegance. I hesitate a hi back. She responds to me in a tone only a mother would use to sooth a child.

“Enjoying the sunrise this cold winters day?” I stared at her for a while before responding. Her eyes shining more as the sun begins to glisten, and the stars begin to fade.

“Well if course I am,” I struggled to say. We sit in silence for a while. Then as soon as the sun rose, she was never to be seen again.
